Tusker FC are winners of the 2026 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Super Cup following an emphatic 3-1 win over giants Gor Mahia at Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday.
Defenders Francis Oduor and Eugene Ikutwa and forward Ian Simiyu scored a goal a piece to hand the brewers their first silverware of the season. Gor’s consolation goal was an own goal by Ikutwa.
Gor and Tusker faced off in the Super Cup following their triumphs in last season’s FKF-Premier League and FKF Cup respectively.
It is the second major title that Gor have lost this month after Rwanda’s Rayon Sports defeated them 2-1 in the final of the 2026 Cecafa Kagame Cup in Kigali, Rwanda.
Aiming for a successful 2026/27 season where they will both represent the country in the CAF inter-club competitions, Gor and Tusker have bolstered their squads with several key signings.
Gor will feature in the CAF Champions League while Tusker will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.
In the Super Cup, the new signings, whom Gor’s coach Charles Akonnor handed a starting role were goalkeeper Humphrey Katasi, defender Daniel Sakari, Ghanaian midfielder Ebenezer Ocran and Ugandan striker Denis Omedi.
Congolese goalkeeper Perrauld Ndinga, defender John Otieno, winger Alvin Mang’eni and Gambian striker Abdoulie Joof were the new faces, whom Tusker’s coach Julien Mette named in his starting line up.
