The lawyer daughter of a presidential hopeful arrested over the murder of Dr Victoria Nthunya Mutiso five days ago was being investigated for alleged theft of title documents of a Sh1.5 billion 20 acre-parcel of land in Mlolongo, Athi River.
On Monday, police told a court in Mavoko that Angella Mulwa, the second born daughter of suspect Rose Mbithe Mulwa, is suspected to be culpable in the shooting case and sought to have her detained alongside alleged gunman Nelson Masiga Makaralu.
The court will decide her fate on Tuesday August 4, 2026.
The arraignment of Angella and Makaralu brings to four those arrested over the murder of Dr Mutiso.

Angella was arraigned at the the Milimani Law Courts on the same day her mother and brother Chris Mulwa were detained for 21 days to assist police in unearthing the circumstances surrounding the mysterious murder.
Detectives from Athi River DCI office are investigating her over alleged land fraud.
Police also told the court that the high end vehicles that were recovered from an upmarket Nairobi suburb are linked to her.
