Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) leader Kalonzo Musyoka has urged parties affiliated with the United Opposition to focus on unseating the Kenya Kwanza administration in the 2027 General Election instead of engaging in unhealthy competition among themselves.
Mr Musyoka said he remains firmly committed to the opposition, dismissing rumours that he is holding talks with President William Ruto.
He insisted that his loyalty to the people of Kenya cannot be bought and maintained that the opposition's priority should be offering Kenyans an alternative government in 2027.
He said the only talks he can hold with President Ruto are on how he can relinquish power or after the opposition defeats him in the 2027 polls.
"In opposition, we have a single enemy—the Kenya Kwanza administration. We must aim our guns at dislodging President Ruto's government through our democratic right at the ballot in a year's time. We (political parties) must avoid competing with each other. I will talk with the other principals to come up with a win-win position in all elective posts," said Mr Musyoka.

He launched a fresh attack on the President Ruto administration, saying it was tainted by corruption and had forgotten the poor Kenyans who elevated it to power on the back of dozens of unfulfilled promises. He also criticised President Ruto's Vision 2060 national dialogue initiative, announced during his address to the nation on Thursday, terming it misplaced.
"They (Kenya Kwanza) began with the hustler slogan before coming up with the bottom-up mantra. They promised mama mboga and youth empowerment before they threw them under the bus," he told a crowd at Emaroro Village in Kajiado East, where he met the party's youth supporters and aspirants.
