Lead image for Dr Mutiso murder: Police officer, two other suspects arraigned .
A police officer Elijah Kimoi said to have shot dead Dr Victoria Mutiso has been arraigned at Milimani court alongside two other suspects, Daniel Mwangi and Kevin Ngugi Kinuthia.
Dr Mutiso, renowned psychiatrist and mental health expert, was killed on July 29, 2026, by gun-wielding gang in Nairobi.
The arraignment of the trio brings to seven those arrested over the heinous murder. Those behind bars are the deceased’s ex-co-wife Rose Mbithe Mulwa, her two children Chris and Angella, together with Mr Nelson Masiga.
Magistrate Paul Mutai heard the firearm used to kill Dr Mutiso had been issued to a police officer who is at large and in being sought by DCI officers and a multi-agency team.
Investigators are seeking to have Kimoi, Mwangi and Kinuthia detained for 30 days.
