Dr Mutiso murder: Cop and three family members remanded

Police officer Elijah Kimoi, who allegedly shot Dr Victoria Mutiso dead on July 29, 2026, has been charged alongside the family of Rose Mbithe Mulwa.

The four have been remanded in custody until September 23, 2026, when they will be charged and they will also enter their plea.

Justice Kanyi Kimondo ordered that Rose Mbithe, her children Chris and Angela, and Kimoi be examined by a psychiatrist to determine their mental fitness to stand trial.

Judge Kimondo also directed the deputy registrar to allocate a lawyer to defend Kimoi.
